The Bendigo product replaces Australian captain Laura Geitz in the Diamonds squad for the first netball Test match between the arch-rivals to be played in Bendigo.
Bulley gives the Diamonds flexibility in defence. The 32-year-old has played wing defence, goal defence and goal keeper for her country.
She was part of the Diamonds squad which won a silver medal at the 2010 Commnwealth Games.
Bulley has been one of the best defenders in the ANZ Championship for the best part of a decade.
After stints with the Melbourne Kestrels, Sydney Swifts and Adelaide Thunderbirds, Bulley has signed with the Queensland Firebirds for the 2014-15 season where she will form a tight defensive unit with Geitz.
The Aussie captain has been forced out of the Test series against England after injuring her left knee in the Diamonds win over New Zealand on Wednesday night.
The 26-year-old will immediately return to Brisbane to undergo further examination and begin treatment to limit disruption to her ANZ Championship pre-season.
“It’s never an easy decision to make, particularly when it involves your captain, however, in consultation with our medical staff, we’ve opted to err on the side of caution,” said Diamonds coach Lisa Alexander.
“We’ve taken a conservative approach to managing her injury to ensure a full recovery ahead of next year’s ANZ Championship.”
The Diamonds secured a historic clean sweep over the Silver Ferns for the first time since the Constellation Cup’s inception in 2010 with a four-goal victory over the Silver Ferns in Auckland.
The victory extended the Diamonds international winning streak to 17 games and nine consecutive over New Zealand – eclipsing the second longest winning streak against the Silver Ferns in history – one game shy of equalling the record.
The Diamonds arrive in Bendigo late on Thursday, with Sunday's Test match against England a sell out.
