A motorcyclist was taken to Bendigo hospital with serious leg injuries and suspected back injuries following a collision along the Midland Highway, near Powell Street, in White Hills about 4.55pm.
The crash is believed to have involved a motorcycle and a car.
Paramedics said the patient – a man in his 50s – was taken to hospital a stable condition.
Reports of a multi-vehicle collision at the intersection of Holdsworth Road and Wood Street, in Long Gully, were received about the same time.
Paramedics assessed two patients at the scene – a woman in her 30s, and a young man.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said the woman was assessed for shock but was not transported.
The young man was taken to Bendigo hospital for a shoulder injury.
Traffic management was in place while emergency services responded.
A single-vehicle crash was reported at Peg Leg Road, in Eaglehawk, about about 4:58pm.
Paramedics said a man in his 70s had no obvious injuries, but was transported to Bendigo hospital after complaining of chest pain.
The man was believed to have been the only occupant of the vehicle.
Central Victorian emergency services have been kept busy over the past few nights, with the Calder Freeway at Kyneton closed for a period yesterday afternoon while firefighters tackled a number of fires.
There were two crashes later that evening – the first, in Big Hill; the second, at Condon Street.
