In the first incident, which occurred about 7.35pm, police say a small Daihatsu SUV was travelling south on the Calder Highway at Big Hill when it drifted onto the shoulder.
The male driver, aged in his 60s, then overcorrected, causing his vehicle to roll.
He was issued an infringement notice for careless driving, but escaped uninjured.
About 11.20pm, emergency services were called to Condon Street, where a car had crashed into a tree.
The incident occurred between Edwards Road and Summit Drive.
Three people were taken to Bendigo Health, all in a stable condition: a man in his 20s with grazes, another man in his 20s with injuries to his ribs, and a teenage boy with chest injuries.
Police continue to investigate the crash.
