ORCHESTRA Victoria will return to central Victoria for its five-day Bendigo Festival next week.
The Bendigo Festival was introduced last year with a week of chamber music, brass ensembles and symphonic programs.
It will run from August 22 to 26 with a combination of free performance events as well as premiere shows.

More than 60 of the state’s finest musicians will perform through the week that finishes with the orchestral concert Arabian Nights and Other Exotic Tales at Ulumbarra Theatre on August 26 at 7pm.
It will be conducted by OV’s artistic director Nicolette Fraillon.
“The Bendigo Festival was a wonderful success in its inaugural year in 2015. We’re all very excited about returning this year,” Ms Frailon said.
“The orchestra loves engaging with the broader community in such an exciting manner and taking quality music to regional Victoria.”
Sacred Heart Cathedral will host the first performance of the week when Orchestra Victoria Cathedral Brass performs at 7pm on August 22.
A number of other highlights on the program are sure to delight music fans through the week.
The Golden Dragon Museum will host a performance titled Percussion and the Dragon on Tuesday at 3pm.
On Wednesday, a Chamber Masterpieces performances will be held at Bendigo Town Hall at 7pm.
Thursday will feature the On the mOVe education performance where OV musicians spend time and play with young musicians from around Bendigo.
Four lunchtime concerts will be held at noon from Tuesday to Friday. The Orchestra Victoria Chamber Players perform at the Bendigo Art Gallery on August 23, OV Percussion will be at The Capital’s Bendigo Bank Theatre on August 24, guitarist Massimo Scattolin plays at St Paul’s Cathedral on August 25 and The Power of Two returns to the Bendigo Bank Theatre on August 26.
Orchestra Victoria musicians will also perform at Bendigo Library on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 2pm.
The Bendigo Festival will also visit the Elmore Memorial Hall on Tuesday night with a brass performance.
