LITTLE Patiya May was walking with her mother through Rosalind Park when a tree fell and took her life.
The beautiful little four-year-old pictured in this photograph was full of life and loved by many.
"Tiya'' was in the park with mum Kristy Thomson about 5.20pm on Monday when a grey box eucalyptus tree came down so quickly, the pair had nowhere to go.
Kristy's family has released images of the loving mother and daughter, but asked for privacy during this very difficult time.
And as Kristy, 31, remains in a stable condition but with serious injuries in the Alfred Hospital, the Bendigo community is reaching out with messages of support and offers to help.
Many others have taken to social media to express their condolences and remember a little girl taken too soon.
Samantha Spencer from Bendigo remembered a much-loved little princess.
"RIP baby girl we will all miss u so much no words can explain how dearly ul be missed we will never forget u princess ul be in our hearts forever and always!! Lots of love Aunty Sam, Uncle Ty, Taijah, Tj and Aiden"
Fay and John Wright from Strathdale shared the views of many when they asked why this tragic event had happened.
''We strive to understand why such a beautiful little girl, Tia, was suddenly taken from her family. We will remember her innocence in this accident, and treasure our own children, as we hold on to the memory of this beautiful little girl. Tears In Angel heaven,'' they wrote.
