The four-year-old was walking with her mother through Rosalind Park on Monday afternoon when a tree fell and took her life.
Patiya's mum Kristy, 31, remains in a stable condition but with serious injuries in the Alfred Hospital.
Bendigo mum Rebecca Brown was touched by the incident and decided to organise a New Year's Eve tribute.
"I personally don't know the family, I was just absolutely saddened and heartbroken by the tragic accident," she said.
"I'd be lost without my little one.
"I can't imagine what the family is going through."
Ms Brown, 20, said people had been invited to leave a candle and send thoughts and prayers to Patiya's family.
"I came up with the idea after reading comments on my own Facebook about people complaining about the fireworks being cancelled.
"I was pretty upset that people were complaining so much about the fireworks.
"I came up with the idea and I didn't expected it to be so well-received.
"It looked absolutely beautiful."
