A strong cold front has brought snow to NSW, ACT, Victoria and Tasmania in the final week of winter.

Heavy snow and black ice has seen the NSW Blue Mountains main arterials roads closed, with the paths out of the region shut down.
Snow fell across wide areas of the NSW Central West, Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands and down the snowfields.
Further north in the Barrington Tops in the lower NSW Mid North Coast region, locals are reporting around 20 to 30 centimetres of snow.
Members of the Barrington Tops Snow Chasers social media group reported between 20 and 30 centimetres around the Polblu area, with 10 centimetres at the lower dingo gate.
Group administrator Steven Oliver, who made the trek, described it as a "nice dump of snow" overnight.
The carpet of white was thick enough in places for children to form snow angels.
In the north of NSW, locals reported flakes falling - and settling - in Guyra, Hanging Rock, Black Mountain and even briefly in Armidale.
Snow was still covering the ground between Guyra and Armidale and up at Hanging Rock early on Wednesday morning.
Live traffic NSW has The Great Western Highway closed from Katoomba to Mount Victoria due to black ice, while Bells Line of Road is also closed from Bell to Lithgow.

NSW Deputy Premier Paul Toole confirmed at around 6am on August 24 both the Great Western Highway and Bells Line of Road have been shut due to the conditions.
While the train service across the mountains is experiencing delays due to "heavy snow and ice on the tracks".
Mr Toole says it's best motorists avoid travel in the Blue Mountains region until further advised.
