POLICE have confirmed a 38 year-old male driver has blown an alcohol blood level reading of 0.178, following a collision with a truck in Strathfieldsaye on Wednesday afternoon.
The driver who blew 3.5 times the legal limit, crashed into the truck at the intersection of Guys Hill Road and Tannery Lane in Strathfieldsaye at 4.50pm, before ending up in a residents front garden.
A Victoria Police spokesperson said the man is expected to be charged on summons for traffic offences.
An eyewitness confirmed the residents were home at the time, however, neither they nor the truck driver were injured.
Police inquiries are ongoing.

Bendigo Police are questioning a driver after a collision with a truck in Strathfieldsaye on Wednesday afternoon.
The two vehicles collided on the corner of Tannery Lane and Guys Hill Road and then crashed into a residents front yard just before 5pm.
Paramedics treated the driver of the sedan for minor injuries at the scene before he was taken into police custody.

EMERGENCY crews are arriving at the scene of a crash on Guys Hill Road, Strathfieldsaye.
The incident is unfolding at the corner with Tannery Lane.
A truck has come to a stop in someone's front yard, as has a car.
No-one is trapped.
Paramedics appear to be assessing one person at the scene.
Police have arrived along with firefighters.
Traffic has been able to flow through the intersection but that may change as the clean up operation begins.
