Immediately following the positive notification, the facility activated its COVID-19 response.
The facility released the following statement this afternoon:
"On advice from the Victorian Public Health Unit (PHU), residents in the Stewart and Chalkley Wings of our home are isolating in their rooms. Other residents can leave their rooms but will remain in their wing or floor.
"We will be undertaking testing of all residents on the First Floor in coming days, either with PCR or a rapid antigen test.
"All staff are wearing full personal protective equipment (PPE) including N95 masks, eye protection, gloves and gowns.
"We will continue to regularly share information about what is happening at our home with our residents' primary contacts while we are closed to visitors."
