Winds of between one and 12 knots from the south-west to the east made conditions tough for sailing.
A field of three mosquitos contested division one, with Stuart Ridge first across the start line and first to the mark.
Coming to the second mark, Ridge hit the buoy which allowed Rob Lott and Colin McEwan to overtake.
As the race continued, Ridge was able to make up for his earlier mistake, taking the lead and finishing the race first, with Lott second ahead of McEwan in third.
In division two, Brian and Helen McMahon were first across the start line, closely followed by the rest of the fleet.
Up the first leg, McMahon was overtaken by Chris and Toby Clarke in their tasar.
During the second leg, Matthew Farrington, Russell Denholm and McMahon were able to catch up to Clarke.
As the race continued, Denholm and Farrington tacked out to the centre of the lake on starboard and Clarke and McMahon went straight up on port.
By the time the field got to the next mark, Clarke and McMahon had opened up a handy break on the field.
But as the race unfolded, Peter Martin chased down McMahon and Clarke to gain the lead.
With progress being made by all in the run to the finish, Clarke and McMahon regained their position, and displaced Martin.
In a tight finish, McMahon was able to edge out his rival and take a thrilling victory.
Results (correct time):
Division one: 1 - Stuart Ridge; 2 - Rob Lott; 3 - Colin McEwan
Division two: 1 - Brian and Helen McMahon; 2 - Russell Denholm; 3 - Matthew Farrington; 4 - Chris and Toby Clarke.
