On February 10 and 11, Macedon's Railway Hotel and Bendigo's Old Church on the Hill will host six performers as part of the Sing a Song of Sixpence tour.
Organiser and artist Delsinki said having a show in this format really brought the audience into the performance.
"We have all of us sitting in a circle, talking and telling the stories of our songs before we sing them," he said.
"There are five of us singer songwriters playing with one accompanying improv artist, who in Bendigo will be John Kendall, and it's a great format because it's nice and relaxed for everyone.
"Most songs have a story behind it and it's nice to be able to let your audience in on how they came about and the meaning that goes with them."
The shows will see a different mix of artists performing at each venue, which will be played in places such as Hamilton, Drysdale, Marysville and more.

At the Bendigo show, Van Walker, Sarah Carroll, Grim Fawkner, Delsinki and Joyce Prescher will be performing.
While this isn't the first time Delsinki has put a show like this together, he hopes central Victorian music lovers will enjoy it as much as others have.
"So many artists have great stories to tell and it's a great atmosphere to do that in," he said.
"I've put together a few live shows like this and the audience seem to love it as much as we do, so why not keep trying it and showcasing as many performers as possible."
He said it was important to keep artists playing even with COVID-19 restrictions in place.
"Musicians have really been hit hard, like a lot of industries, throughout the last few years and for people like myself, music is a full-time job," Delsinki said.
"Even with this surge in cases, we still want to do everything we can to keep shows up and running, even if that means capping the audience at 50 people and putting other COVIDsafe protocols in place.
"There have been a few shows I've been a part of that have sold so many tickets and a lot of people have felt it would be safer not to come, but we want to assure people they will be safe with us."
