Multiple fire trucks and a helicopter crew are at, or arriving at, the fire ground off of Lakeys Road.
Crews from Pyramid Hill, Jarklin, Mitiamo and Serpentine are joining Dingee's volunteers to fight the fire.
The fire was called in at 1.36pm today.
It is unclear whether the fire has been struck by lightning as thunderstorms storms continue to roll through Victoria.
