THE latest round of the Tuesday Night Series for athletes drew many competitors to the Flora Hill track.
Two heats of the mixed 3000m were run, and a mixed 1000m was also held at the Retreat Road complex.
University athletes dominated the first of the 3000m races as Brian Watson powered to the line in 10:06 ahead of clubmates Mike Bieleny, 10:17; Andrew Creer, 10:27; and Hugh Casey, 10:54.
Also in action were long-time competitors Anne Buckley, Craig Green, Greg Hilson and Russell Jenkins.
South Bendigo's Anna Mulquiny won the second of the 3000m heats in 13:35 from University's James Russell, 13:43, and Charles Chambers, 13:57.
The 1000m event drew athletes from as young as four up to 48.
University's April Wainwright won the two-and-a-half lap event in 4:06 from clubmate Erin Bradshaw, 4:15, as invitation athlete Katie Graham ran 4:31 to be third.
Next round in the Tuesday Night Series will be run on January 4 from 7pm.
