Loddon Campaspe Multicultural Services general manager Noemi Cummings said the event sought to bring people together to share their culture, traditions, faith and language.
“This event will provide an opportunity to have a good time enjoying good food, good music and dancing for those who enjoy it,” she said.
Ms Cummings said traditional and cultural performances on the night would give guests a taste of a number of cultures in the region. Proceeds from ticket sales and a silent auction would benefit the local community.
“In the past few years we have seen that the number of migrants and new arrivals are increasing every day to make the city and the region grow exponentially,” she said.
“We are all benefited by such an influx of members of different cultures or ethnic backgrounds.
“This event will help us raise the much needed financial assistance for the multicultural playgroup which is operated by the Loddon Campaspe Multicultural Services to support parents and zero- to five-year-old children.”
The dinner and dance will kick off at 6pm this Saturday at the Bendigo Pottery Function Centre, Epsom.
