The Roos won their third Premier Weekend Pennant match in a row to jump into second place on the ladder - just one point behind Moama after six rounds.

Flat's win was built around its ability to take down the Borough's two leading rinks through the first five rounds.

Cameron Keenan upset Dean Carter 21-15, while Cameron Wilson thrashed Brayden Byrne 23-8 to set up the Roos' 78-65 win.

Eaglehawk won the other two rinks, with Marc Smith bouncing back to form in a 22-18 win over Barry Anset and Darren Burgess defeating David Keenan 20-16 in a high-quality contest.

South Bendigo edged out Bendigo by eight shots under lights on Friday night.

The Beasties did plenty right - particularly Ian Ross' 22-15 win over Brad Holland and Greg Podesta's 29-15 victory against Tom Lester - but it wasn't enough to win overall.

South Bendigo's Luke Hoskin proved to the difference. His 31-9 demoltion of Aaron Tomkins got the reigning premier over the line.

After suffering two-straight losses, Inglewood returned to something likes ts best form in its 87-73 victory over the winless Bendigo.

In the final match of the round, Golden Square stayed in touch with the top four by defeating a disappointing Castlemaine by 29 shots.
