CHRISSY Weller has been re-elected unopposed as mayor of Campaspe Shire Council for another one year term.

Cr Weller thanked her fellow councillors for their support in her nomination and acknowledged former deputy mayor, Leanne Pentreath for her assistance during the past year.
"I was honoured and humbled to be elected a new councillor last year and then mayor. I am grateful for the opportunity to head the Council once again," she said.
"I've enjoyed my first year as Mayor and am looking forward to building on my experience."
Cr Weller thanked all councillors for their contributions across the past year and recognised that the team as a whole had a range of experience which was a benefit in dealing with the breadth and depth of decisions to be made.
"I am excited about the year ahead and enacting the plans we have put in place," she said.
Colleen Gates was elected as deputy mayor, also for a one year term.
Council meeting dates for 2022 were adopted at the meeting. Those dates are:
- January 19
- February 16
- March 16
- April 20
- May 18
- June 15
- July 20
- August 17
- September 21
- October 19
- November 16
- December 14
Council also approved appointments to represent council on various committees, forums and industry groups.
