A spokesperson said while there was not a lot of information available, hospital services would remain unaffected.
"All necessary infection control procedures are being undertaken," they said.
This comes as Boort District Health confirmed a COVID-19 positive case attended the hospital last week.
In a post on social media, the health service confirmed the case attended on Wednesday, November 3.
"Our response team has undertaken an immediate response to this situation," the post said.
"The COVID-19 positive case has been isolating since they developed symptoms and all known contacts to the positive case have been identified and have already been tested.
"To protect our most vulnerable, the Boort District Health residents and patients, we have restricted ALL visitors to our facility until further notice.
"We appreciate your understanding of this directive."
