Hindle - currently employed as the elite teams co-ordinator at Bendigo Stadium - will replace long-serving general manager Troy Harley, who is taking on an exciting new role with Greyhound Clubs Australia.
The pair of new appointments bring to an end a nearly 11-year period with Harley as manager at Lord's Raceway, having established Bendigo as one of Victoria's strongest greyhound clubs.
In his nearly four-years at Bendigo Stadium, Hindle has helped oversee the management of the city's WNBL team Bendigo Spirit, the second-tier national league's Bendigo Braves and other major events hosted by the stadium
He says he is excited by the change of focus in his sports administration career.
"It's an industry I've always been interested in and one that I'm excited to learn more about," he said.
"I'm really looking forward to learning how the greyhound industry operates and joining the current team at BGRA.
"I'm excited to continue the great work that has been done, not only within the BGRA, but continuing to implement community involvement through functions, charity fundraisers and the generally family-friendly atmosphere that the Bendigo greyhounds have to offer.
"I'm looking forward to working with the committee and stakeholders to continue implementing new ways to innovate and to navigate public involvement while remaining COVID-safe.
"I'm extremely grateful for this opportunity with the BGRA as it is a great next step in my career and one I can't wait to get started with".
Hindle, who will start in his new role on November 15, will take over the reins of a financially strong greyhound club and one still on a high following a hugely successful Bendigo Cup Carnival earlier in November.
His appointment was welcomed by BGRA president Bob Douglas.
"Charlton is a young man with a clear vision of where he wants to go in his career and he impressed us greatly during the recruitment process," he said.
"I am sure he will fit right into our environment and will bring some fresh ideas as well as maintain the community connection and club stability that is vitally important to us.
"He is following Troy Harley, who has been at the helm for near on 11 years.
"In that time the club has progressed from being under administration to becoming one of the most successful regional clubs on and off the track with an extensive list of improvements on-site, as well as well, hosting three feature race carnivals, staging several major social events and is in a strong financial position."
Tertiary qualified in sports administration, Hindle has previously worked with the Australian Open, but passed up an opportunity to again be involved at this January's event to focus on his new role.
The club's next meeting will be run as a twilight this Wednesday (November 3).
