According to the Vic Emergency website there have been more than 30 calls outs for emergency services.
An SES spokesperson said there had been 35 requests for assistance in the Bendigo area in the last six hours.
"Most requests were related to trees down but six were for help with building damage," the spokesperson said.

People should also stay away from trees in wind or heavy rain and prepare their property as best they can.
