MAKE A WISH: Jenny Pearson is celebrating her 13th birthday today with twin daughters Kendall and Damara.

Jenny Pearson is turning 13 today, 13 in leap years that is. Jenny has a leap-year birthday and only gets to celebrate her real birthday every four years.“When you get older I don’t think it means as much, it is just another day,” she said.Jenny was born on February 29, 1960, which makes her real age 52. Jenny said when she was in primary school her friends were intrigued about the concept of having a leap-year birthday. “I felt special,” she said. “The good thing about having a leap year birthday is that no one ever forgets it.” Jenny is a mum of identical twin girls Kendall and Damara. “The one funny thing that I remember with my birthday is that when my girls turned 12 one year and then I turned 12 in leap years. We were all 12 together,” she laughed. Daughter Kendall said her mum would be spoiled with presents on her big day. “We have got her a few presents. I hope she has a good day,” she said. Jenny and her family usually celebrate her birthday on February 28. “I was born in February so I have my birthday then,” she said. Jenny said nothing special was planned to celebrate the special birthday. “I think we will just catch up with family and go out for dinner,” she said.
