SIX new coronavirus cases have been recorded in the Greater Bendigo region.
Data from the Department of Health released on Friday confirmed one case in the 3551 postcode, while five new cases were listed in the 3550 postcode.
The new cases bring the total number of active cases in Greater Bendigo to 47.
Mitchell Shire recorded a further 16 cases on Friday and there were six in the Macedon Ranges area.
Campaspe Shire had one new case while Mount Alexander and Gannawarra recorded no new cases.
Bendigo Health has confirmed three people with COVID-19 are being treated in the hospital's intensive care unit.
These patients are of the nine patients currently in hospital on Friday with six being treated in the respiratory ward.
There are 39 COVID-19 patients being monitored through the Hospital in the Home program.
There were 1100 people tested for the virus through Bendigo Health on Thursday.
Another 822 coronavirus vaccinations were administered in Greater Bendigo.

COVID-19 testing commander Jeroen Weimar said there was a continuing "drip-feed" of new cases in regional Victoria.
Mr Weimar said there were 193 new cases in regional Victoria overnight.
The new cases include:
- Greater Shepperton - 26 new cases
- Greater Geelong - 28 new cases
- Mildura - 34 new cases
- Baw Baw - 20 new cases
The latest cases for the Greater Bendigo region have not been updated.
Victorian Health Minister Martin Foley confirmed Mildura restrictions would be extended for another seven days.
Mr Foley said current restrictions in Mildura needed to be extended by another seven days.
He said it was a "complex" situation.
There have been 34 cases in Mildura today, higher than any other regional area.

Victoria has recorded 2,179 new coronavirus cases overnight and another six deaths.
Thursday also bought over 73,900 test results to Victorians as well as 38,752 vaccinations being administered.

These numbers come as nine new coronavirus cases were recorded in the Greater Bendigo region on Thursday.
Data from the Department of Health released on Thursday confirmed four new cases in the 3551 postcode, while three new cases were listed in the 3550 postcode.
There were also single cases in the 3556 and 3515 postcodes.
The new cases bring the total number of active cases in Greater Bendigo to 42.
There were also single coronavirus cases listed in the Mount Alexander and Macedon Ranges shires.
Bendigo Senior Secondary College was advised on Wednesday that a student tested positive to COVID-19.
In a post on social media, principal Dale Pearce confirmed the student was "isolating appropriately".
"We have been advised that a BSSC student has tested positive for COVID-19," the post said.
"The student isolated appropriately and we have DET and Health advice that they were not at the college while infectious.
"Accordingly there is no risk to other students or to staff. We trust that the student will recover fully from their illness."
In a message to students and families on Thursday, Mr Pearce said other students were now isolating.
"In addition to our one student who has tested positive to COVID-19 we now have a number of other students isolating and awaiting test results," the message said.
Mr Pearce said that due to the numbers increasing in the Greater Bendigo area, the school had decided to postpone its graduation event.
