A spokesperson for the Department of Health has confirmed there is no positive case of COVID-19 in the Bendigo postcode of 3550.
The spokesperson said it was an error and will be removed today.
Tuesday 10am
DATA from the Department of Health and Human Services suggest there is a positive case of COVID-19 in the Bendigo postcode.
A Bendigo Health spokesperson confirmed they had not tested anyone with a positive COVID-19 diagnosis, or been asked to care for anyone with a positive diagnosis.
The spokesperson said there is a chance someone with a Bendigo postcode has tested positive to COVID-19, but is living outside of the region.
The Bendigo Advertiser has contacted the DHHS for clarification and will continue to update readers accordingly.
