The City of Greater Bendigo is calling for young people and children living in the region to contribute to the new public art project.
Young residents aged up to 25 years old can contribute a poem, statement, message or 50-word short story for the No Longer on Mute Youth Art Project, which aims to give young people and children a voice.

Bendigo Venues and Events acting manager Jacoba Kelly said the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted young people significantly.
"(It has) deeply affected their ability to socialise, attend school, celebrate birthdays and pursue leisure and sporting activities," Ms Kelly said. "No Longer on Mute is an opportunity to capture their thoughts and feelings in a creative way.
"I'm sure they will offer valuable insights on how the pandemic continues to affect them."
Bendigo artist Chris Duffy, who currently has a work on display in Pennyweight Walk said
There is no set theme for submissions, which close on Friday, September 17, the youth-based program was a great idea.
"It is a clever use of the space and I would like to see more of it," he said. "For young artists it's a great opportunity. It exposes them to the arts and creative community.
"It's a brilliant thing for young artists as well because there is a lack of young voices at the moment."

"Once COVID-19 restrictions ease for public gatherings, we hope to hold a celebration where contributors will be invited to an official launch and see the display," Ms Kelly said.
