Premier Daniel Andrews confirmed on Wednesday that until then, the five reasons to leave home would remain in place.

Mr Andrews said restrictions currently implemented were statewide for now but would be reviewed next week for regional Victoria.

But he said from 11.59pm on Thursday some small changes to restrictions would be made.

Playgrounds will reopen and in-home care such as babysitters will also be expanded to school-aged children - but only if both parents are authorised workers.

Mr Andrews said when 70 per cent of Victorians had at least one vaccine dose, more changes would be made.

At that point, the five-kilometre radius would expand to 10 kilometres. This would allow people to exercise and shop up to 10 kilometres from their home.

Victorians would also be able to exercise for an extra hour, for up to three hours a day.

Outdoor personal training would be allowed with up to two people plus the trainer. Outdoor communal gym equipment and skateparks would reopen.

Private inspections of unoccupied premises for a new purchase or end of lease will be permitted but only one household may attend at a time, with the agent staying outdoors during the inspection.

It comes as Victoria has recorded 120 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases overnight on Tuesday, 64 of which have been linked to existing outbreaks.

Mr Andrews said only 20 of the new cases were in isolation during their infectious period.

It is the first time the state's daily cases have been in the triple digits since 110 cases were detected on September 2 last year at the tail of the Victoria's devastating second wave.

There were also two deaths that were reported late on Tuesday and included in Wednesday's numbers.
