To do this, they have sponsored homework books that have been sent out to students at Eaglehawk and Eaglehawk North primary schools.
Eaglehawk North Primary School business manager Katrina McNaughton said the school was delighted to get the support from local organisations.
"We get contacted each year by Academy School Books to see if we would like to order these exercise books," she said.
"They ask us how many students we have in grades three to six and they will send us the right amount of books that will then be distributed around the school.
"As a school, we're certainly very grateful for the fact that there are local businesses out there that are prepared to support local students.
"It's an additional learning resource that the kids can use for whatever purpose within the school on top of the stationary and books they already have.

Bendigo Community Health Services Communications manager Rod Case said the organisation enjoyed supporting local students.
"It's wonderful to play a role in helping the schools, students and families," he said.
"Raising community awareness around health and wellbeing is an important part of our role so we really like that the homework books carry great health and community education messages for the students too.
Mr Case said it was better knowing they were supporting a community that had done the same for their service for many years.
"Eaglehawk is a great community that is very supportive of our Seymoure Street medical practice so it's important for us to not only recognise that support but give back where we can," he said.
"Bendigo Community Health Services started in Eaglehawk back in 1974 so we have a long history with the area.
"We also love attending the Dahlia and Arts Festival to say thank you to the Eaglehawk community each year but sadly that's been cancelled of late due to the COVID-19 pandemic but we look forward to the day this great event returns."
