IT will be a first for the Loddon Valley Football-Netball League next month when Maiden Gully's Marist College hosts its inaugural grand final.
The LVFNL has released its finals venues, with the culmination of the 2021 season set to come on Saturday, September 11, with grand final day at Marist College.
However, while the league has allocated its finals venues, it has also warned that dual venues may be required for finals dependent on what Victorian restrictions are in place at the time relating to crowd attendances.
Under current restrictions that this weekend's final LVFNL home and away round will be played under, there are no spectators permitted at games. Only those that are deemed necessary, such as trainers, coaches, umpires, carers, parents and guardians can attend.
Marist College has been used as an LVFNL venue since it became the home of Maiden Gully YCW in 2017 and is guaranteed to be a neutral senior grand final venue given the sixth-placed Eagles have been eliminated from the finals race.
The finals series will begin with the qualifying final at Serpentine on Saturday, August 21, which will feature Bridgewater playing Marong in the senior game.
Marong (elimination final), Newbridge (second semi-final), Mitiamo (first semi-final) and Calivil (preliminary final) have also had finals allocated.
THIS SATURDAY'S ROUND 18 LVFNL GAMES:
Inglewood v Maiden Gully YCW.
Mitiamo v Bridgewater.
Bears Lagoon-Serpentine v Pyramid Hill.
Newbridge v Marong.
