BASL has lost several weeks of matches because of the COVID-19 lockdown and the league remains in talks with clubs about the best way to finish the championship season.
"We have a proposal circulating with the clubs and we hope to have a response to that early next week,'' BASL president Aaron Shooter.
"The intention is to get the majority of the season still played, with the potential of some midweek games to be played to catch-up on lost games.
"At this stage we'll still be able to get a finals series played, but how that finals series looks we're not sure and we're still in discussions with clubs."
"The main focus for us was to get the clubs up and running and get through this weekend's matches.
"After that we can clarify our position and make some decisions around the rest of the season."
The men's division one championship resumes with a blockbuster clash between the top two teams - Eaglehawk and Tatura at Tatura.

In the other two games on Sunday, third-placed Strathdale should have few troubles in getting the three points in its away clash with La Trobe Uni, while Spring Gully United will jump into fourth place if it defeats bottom side Golden City at Stanley Avenue.
The women's division has its own big game, with ladder-leading La Trobe University hosting third-placed Strathdale.
