This weekend's scheduled round 14 matches have been abandoned because of Victoria's extended lockdown, which means all football and netball results from the White Hills and Elmore standalone season-opener on Good Friday have been scrapped.
The Demons-Bloods matches were brought forward from the original fixture.
All results from that day had previously not been added to the league's official ladders.
"White Hills and Elmore have been told and they fully understand that,'' HDFNL chairman Peter Cole said.
"The points and percentage were only going to be added to the ladder if the round went ahead and the clubs knew that from the start.
"We're hopeful that we get some good news next Tuesday and we can start back on July 31."
Cole said the HDFNL plans to play out rounds 15 through 18 of the home and away season and then play the finals series as scheduled at Huntly from August 28 through to September 18.
"If we lose another round after this week then we abandon that round and go to the next one,'' Cole said.
"We have everything booked for our finals series at Huntly. As we've stated before, if a finals weekend is abandoned then the higher-ranked team advances.
"The clubs are clear with what is going to happen, so everyone is on the same page.
"The clubs have made it clear they don't want to push the season back any further for a variety of reasons.
"We're happy to work with that."

The abandonment of this weekend's matches robs the league of top five-shaping encounters in football and netball between North Bendigo and Mount Pleasant.
In the senior footy, the fourth-placed Bulldogs are just one game behind White Hills in the race for the double chance, while prior to the latest lockdown fifth-placed Mounts still fancied their chances of pinching a top three berth.
That mission for Mounts has become close to impossible after missing games against White Hills (last weekend) and now North Bendigo.
In A-grade netball, fifth-placed North Bendigo could have jumped third-place Mounts on the ladder with a win on its home court.
Just two points split Mounts, fourth-placed White Hills and the Bulldogs.
The other round 14 games scheduled for this weekend were Leitchville-Gunbower at home to Lockington-Bamawm United and Colbinabbin away to Heathcote.
