Fourteen-year-old Lalita was last seen in Flora Hill near Bendigo about 1pm on Tuesday.
Police and family hold concerns for her welfare due to her age.
She was last seen wearing a grey/green jacket, black Adidas pants and black Nike shoes.
Investigators have released an image of Lalita in the hope someone can provide information regarding her current whereabouts.
