The Community Compass map now shows nearly all capital works in the 2021-22 City of Greater Bendigo budget.
Council financial strategy manager Nathan Morsillo said the aim was to increase transparency and civic engagement with the budgeting process.
Mr Morsillo said the map graphically represented the council's $55 million capital works program into the future, including everything except weather-dependent works.
He said staff hoped to communicate the work involved in maintaining its asset base.
"The important part is to understand the breadth and depth of the capital program we do," Mr Morsillo said.
"Council services cover everything from sports grounds, through to ... resealing."
Mr Morsillo said council was likely to continue its mapping of capital works into the future in some form.
Councillor Dave Fagg said it was important to have information like capital works in a form that was easy for people to understand.

"This is a positive step. This kind of visualisation of financial data is something I think council should be working on into the future," Cr Fagg said.
