Bendigo Health's COVID-19 Screening Clinic will move to McLaren Street, the rear of the Mollison Street Mass Vaccination Centre, on Monday and have the capability to test two cars at-a-time in an undercover area and 30 cars will be able to wait in line.
Around 150 coronavirus tests are occurring each day which is on the "lower level" of what the health provider has completed over the course of the pandemic.
Bendigo Health chair Bob Cameron said the new location was needed for the redevelopment of the old hospital to occur.
"From Monday morning, all of the coronavirus testing will be done here and the new McLaren Street testing centre," he said.

"As you know, we are going to have the old hospital redeveloped next year, building works will start at the end of the year but in the meantime there are building assessments and preliminary works that have to occur.
"We have to relocate from there and that's why we're here at McLaren Street.
"Mollison Street is where you get vaccinated, at the back from McLaren Street, that is where you get tested. There is drive thru, but you can also park over the road and walk in."
Entry to the screening is via McLaren Street coming from Mitchell Street and there's a free car park across the road to ensure Bendigo's central business district does not clog up.
In the instance of a coronavirus outbreak, Mr Cameron said Bendigo Health will open a mass testing clinic elsewhere in the city.
"There might be the occasion where we have a lot of traffic, in that case McLaren Street won't be suitable and we will be announcing another location that's yet to be nailed down totally for where there will be easier and open access," he said.
"It's usually pretty evident the day before if things are going to ramp up, we've got used to that unfortunately and we have to be able to respond.
"We can have 30 cars in the drive-thru waiting and four cars undercover. We've got very good capacity but if we have a pike we will move elsewhere.
"The long snake line days for testing, we won't be able to do those here and we'll move elsewhere to a large, open site."
Mr Cameron said coronavirus vaccination numbers remained strong.
"When it comes to vaccine numbers, we're still do around 800 a day," he said.
"At the start of the week, we weren't taking any more bookings until the end of the month and we've just opened a few up again.
"We're going to have to wait until the start of July to work out exactly what the numbers will be going forward. It's slow going."
