Over the next two weeks, classes will be collecting and donating a range of items which will eventually be donated to the St Vincent de Paul's Winter Appeal.
"Our focus in Term 2 was to support the work of Vinnies, with all of us encouraged to give what we could," college captain Tomas Coleman said.
"The food and goods collected will assist the organisation with their efforts to help people who are struggling, through low income support, help with housing and homelessness, refugees and migrants, indigenous Australians as well as helping with health and education."
Each year level was given a different item to contribute or collect, ranging from foods to essential products.
"The Year 7s and 10s donated breakfast foods, the Year 8s and 11s toiletries and the Year 9s and 12s provided non-perishable meal items," Mr Coleman said.
Catherine McAuley College deputy principal said no matter how big the donation, it was about teaching the students how important giving back to those in need.
"Students and staff have provided small, but significant, contributions to Vinnies for the Winter Appeal," she said.
"The donations of gold coins and goods are important and make a difference; equally important is raising awareness in our community about Vinnies."
Faith Formation leader Lisa Darlow said it was in the school's blood to give back to the community.
Catherine McAuley once said, "we can never say it is enough."

"When it comes to supporting and promoting the great work of organisations like Vinnies, students and staff have responded with mercy, donating what they can to try to make a difference."
The goods will be donated to the local Vinnies in Bendigo.
