After a combined minute of silence with Newbridge, the game was on, with the Demons firing on all cylinders from start to finish to secure a 35-goal triumph, final scores 54-29.
"It was a challenging match after the break and it almost felt as if we were starting all over again," Demons coach Christie Rogers said.
"We were a bit rusty in the first, but in the second our defenders really shutdown their attack which we capitalised on down our goal end.
"It was pleasing to step up and be able to pull away with a convincing lead which we then consolidated to see out the game."
Rogers was pleased to see the team's development continue to progress each week they take to the netball court.
"The team is growing every week and our defence has become a real strength of our game, in addition to our match-ups being really good against Newbridge," Rogers said.
However, above all Rogers and the team were pleased to go out and play a strong game in honour of Gee.
"We had a really touching minute of silence tribute for Katrina at the start of the game," Rogers said.
"It was a very special part of the day."
Meanwhile in the other matches, Bridgewater defeated Pyramid Hill 45-31 and Marong clinched a six-goal victory over Inglewood 44-38.
Mitiamo had the bye.
