Victorian health department officials said the man has been in quarantine during his infectious period.
The locally-acquired case is one of three reported in Victoria in the last 24 hours. The other two cases are in hotel quarantine.

The three latest cases bring the state's active case tally to 51.

Friday also saw more than 17,000 people received a COVID-19 vaccination with 886,507 vaccines administered in total.
The vaccination numbers come as Bendigo GPs reported more calls to their clinics from patients concerned about vaccines.
It comes after the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation recommended that the AstraZeneca vaccine should only be given to those aged 60 and older.

Bendigo Primary Care Centre manager Steve Cooper said he feared people would not be fully vaccinated if they cancelled their second dose of AstraZeneca.
"If you have had the AstraZeneca vaccine, you can't get the Pfizer for the second," he said.
