THE Bendigo Braves men's and women's teams will remain sidelined for another weekend.

Prior to Wednesday's announcement by the state government that Victoria's lockdown will continue in Melbourne for another week and that regional restrictions were proposed to be eased from Thursday night, NBL1 South had already postponed all but two round eight games for this weekend.

The Braves were scheduled to play away matches against Diamond Valley on Saturday night.

Instead, the only NBL1 South matches to be played this weekend will be the Tasmanian Derby on Saturday night featuring Launceston and Hobart in the women's and North West Tasmania and Hobart in the men.

The Braves' home games against Ballarat last Friday night were both called off.
