FIRE crews have contained a house fire in Malmsbury.
A Country Fire Authority spokesperson said there had been a fire in the roof of the property on French Street.
Crews were called to the blaze about 10am on Saturday and had it listed as under control at 10.36am.

The CFA spokesperson said the fire was not believed to be suspicious. Crews believed it was instead caused by a heat lamp.
Firefighters had to remove parts of the roof to tackle the blaze, the CFA spokesperson said.
One male was being treated for smoke inhalation.

FIRE crews are on the scene of a house fire in Malmsbury.
Country Fire Authority tankers were called to the property on French Street about 10am on Saturday.
A CFA spokesperson said the fire appeared to start in the chimney.

There were seven crews on scene amid reports of smoke coming out of the eaves of the house, the spokesperson said.
Two people had evacuated from the property before the firefighters arrived.
The fire is still not under control.
