
A MAN charged with murdering an 80-year-old man in Castlemaine on Monday has fronted court.
Castlemaine man Glenn Stratton, 53, appeared in the Bendigo Magistrates' Court on Tuesday after he was charged with one count of murder.

Mr Stratton, who was supported in court by family and friends, did not make an application for bail.

The accused's defence lawyer told the magistrate it was the 53-year-old's first time in custody.
The lawyer said the accused had a blood disorder and was required to take daily medication.
Mr Stratton was remanded in custody. He is due to return to the Bendigo Magistrates' Court in October.
