The Superoos dismissed another potential LVFNL flag rival on Saturday when they defeated Pyramid Hill 16.11 (107) to 10.9 (69).
The home side kicked five goals to one in the first quarter, saw off a mini Pyramid Hill comeback in the third term and then finished the game the stronger.
"We started really well and set the tone in the first quarter,'' Mitiamo co-coach Tyrone Downie said.
"It was one of our better games of the year."
The Superoos' dominance started in the middle of the ground.
Dylam Mutu and Lee Dale won plenty of the ball and worked forward to kick two goals each.
"Dylan Mutu was very good through the midfield with his workrate,'' Downie said.
"Lee Dale goes about his business and accumulates the footy. He's a workhorse and he got on the end of a couple as well."
Pyramid Hill forward Braidy Dickens was averaging six goals per game this season leading into the match, but Superoos' stopper Max Simpson put the clamps on the dangerous forward.
Dickens was held to one goal.
"Dickens is obviously a very good player, particularly one-on-one,'' Downie said.
"We generally send Max to who we think is the opposition's most dangerous player and he doesn't let us down too often.
"He did the job for us again."
The Bulldogs, who were without key midfielder Matt Ladson, worked hard after quarter-time to get back into the game, but playing catch-up against a quality opponent is never easy.
Bailey George, Tom Brennan and Scott Mann were best as the Dogs dropped to a 4-2 record - equal with fourth-placed Marong.
The Bulldogs now face the competition's other unbeaten team - Bridgewater.
The bye has come at a good time for Mitiamo, who lost Ben Bacon (groin) and Lachlan Woodward (quad) to injuries that will probably see them miss at least a couple of weeks.
Just one month after being held goalless for the second time in three matches, Calivil United celebrated its first win of the LVFNL season on Saturday.
The Demons did it in style, defeating Inglewood comfortably 17.18 (120) to 5.5 (35).
Calivil United coach Glen Scholtes said the victory brought mixed emotions of elation, pride and relief.
"It is a bit of a relief because we weren't sure where we sat,'' Scholtes said.
"We knew Inglewood and Newbridge were at a similar level to us and then Newbridge beat Inglewood by 70 points last week, so we weren't sure where that put us.
"After today it sets up a pretty interesting clash next week against Newbridge.
"The most pleasing thing about the win was that the boys played four quarters and stuck to what we've been working on.
"Inglewood had some good patches and they stuck at it all day."
The Demons kicked four goals to none in the first quarter, but the Blues dug in and by three quarter-time the margin remained under five goals.
However, the final quarter was one-way traffic as Calivil piled on 9.4 to 0.2.
"It was pleasing to finish off the game that way,'' Scholtes said.
"It was a good reward for the work the boys have put in."
Young ruckman Jack Sinclair was superb for the Demons, while Jake Lawry kicked a bag of six goals.
Lachlan McAllister and Jordan Lea were other good players for the home side.
Inglewood's best players were Cody Stobaus, Dakota Bannister and Taj Rodwell.
Bridgewater stretched its winning streak to six games with a 51-point win over Maiden Gully YCW.
The Mean Machine didn't have it all their own way against a plucky Eagles side, but the home side's class took over in the final quarter-and-a-half of the 16.16 (112) to 8.13 (61) win.
"It was a tough hit-out for the whole day, but we were able to keep that three or four-goal lead for most of the day,'' Bridgewater co-coach Jayden Donaldson said.
"We managed to kick away late which was pleasing."
Wingman Peter Rothacker, key defender Jake Rusbridge and midfielder Zeb Broadbent led the charge for Bridgewater.
"Pete (Rothacker) was sensational all day with his run and his ability to link play from the backline to our forward line.
"Rusbridge played on Mitrovic for most of the day and he didn't get beaten in a one-on-one contest.
"Zeb set the tone for us in the middle with his work-rate."
The Eagles can compete with the better teams for patches, but without their best 18 on the park they're struggling to maintain that intensity for four quarters.
Travis Mercadante, Nathan Murley and big man Chris Howgate were the Eagles' best on Saturday.
Bridgewater continue to be without several first choice senior players, but their absence has created opportunity for others to get a taste of senior footy.

"There's plenty of opportunity for blokes that are doing the right thing,'' Donaldson said.
"To the credit of a few of them, they're really making the most of their opportunities in the seniors.
"When we do get a few players back from injury it's going to make selection very hard."
The Mean Machine might get some players back for their big games against Pyramid Hill and Mitiamo over the next fortnight.
"We've got quite a few sore boys, but we've got to keep working through it,'' Donaldson said.
"I don't think there'll be anything major to come from it.
"Regardless of who is in and who is out, we're really looking forward to the challenge of playing Pyramid Hill and Mitiamo over the next two weeks."
In the final game of the round, Marong bounced back from two-straight defeats to beat Bears-Lagoon Serpentine by 59 points.
Key forward Kain Robins bagged eight goals in the Panthers' 19.9 (123) to 9.10 (64) win.
Marong's defensive press smothered the Bears early and the visitors only kicked one goal in the first half.
With a 44-point lead at the major break the Panthers had the four points secured.
Serpentine fought the game out and the second half scoreline of Marong 11.3 to the Bears 8.6 at least gave coach Greg Gadsden and his players a positive to take into next week's game with MGYCW.
