Hans to host Sound of Music sing-a-long at Bendigo Cinema

It will be the first time a sing-a-long event has come to town and Hans has promised it will be so much more than just a movie screening.

"This is a film that we want everyone to get involved in and shout out at different points at the movie," he said.

"Once one person starts by the end of the movie everyone is just all involved and just makes such a hilarious night.

"Everyone gets a little goodie bag when they get to the cinema, there are a few things to throw at the screen.

"We go through some key moments in the film where the audience can interact, we go through all the songs, the dance routines and then we have a costume parade."

Hans said it will be a fantastic fun night out for everyone.

He said after such a difficult year, it will be great to unwind and connect with new regional audiences.

"After the year that everyone has had in Victoria, this is a really great way to come together, have a laugh and escape in the world for a few hours," he said.

"One of the upsides of the pandemic has been that regional tourism has really lifted, a lot of places we have been going visiting, it has been hard to find accommodation because everything has been booked out.

"Last year I was meant to be either working on cruise ships or working in America so obviously that got cancelled so this is a way for us to keep going, keep touring around.

"I am excited because I am going to some places that I have never been before like Bendigo."

The Sing-A-Long-A Sound of Music event will be held at Bendigo Cinema on June 25 and tickets can be found here.
