The Superoos ensured their lone status with a convincing 19-goal win in their top-two clash against Maiden Gully YCW at Marist College on Saturday.
An intriguing round of LVFNL netball included a season-first win for Newbridge by 36-goals over Inglewood and a thrilling four-goal win to Bridgewater over Marong, 57-53.
But it was Mitiamo, which made the biggest statement with a fifth consecutive victory.
The Superoos led at every change but really poured on the pressure in the second half to score a 73-54 win.
Both coaches - Mitiamo's Glenda Thomas and Maiden Gully YCW's Jannaya Webb - have used the early part of the season to tinker with their line-ups and that trend continued on Saturday with both trying players in new or not so familiar roles.
Naturally thrilled to have won all five games played this season, Thomas felt her side - like most in the league - was still feeling its way.
"We are still working a few things and have probably had a different combination each week, but it's coming together," she said.
"We are still very much trying to work out our best starting seven.
"Our two new defenders (Jess Pay and Abbey Battersby) are improving each week, which is a real bonus.
"It was a really strong effort. We didn't have a weak link in the team and moved the ball quickly. From there it seemed to all fall into place for us."
The Superoos got accurate games in goals from their star Laura Hicks and goal shooter Sarah Ludeman, while Brit Fitzpatrick was strong in the midcourt with three solid quarters at wing defence before a switch to centre in the final term.
Thomas said there was some chance versatile Superoo Lucy Morcom, who has been sidelined with a knee injury, would be back in time for next week's home clash against Pyramid Hill.
At Inglewood, Newbridge put its first win on the board with a 52-26 victory over the Blues.
It was also the first A-grade coaching victory for the Maroons' Selina Holland, who was appointed for 2020, but due to COVID-19 has endured a long wait for win number one.
Holland felt her side had been building towards a win.
"None of our games have been extremely one-sided, even if they have sometimes looked like that on paper," she said.
"We've had a half a game in all of them where we've beaten the opposition.
"Second time around, I think those games will definitely be tougher from our perspective - we'll definitely have more to give."
The Maroons led by only one-goal at quarter time, but kicked into gear in the second quarter and steadily increased the margin throughout the contest.
Defenders Sharlene Hanning and Leah Dixon and midcourter Malkah Lara were among the Maroons' best, with Jorja Hufer and Rachael Kirby combining efficiently in goals.
At Bridgewater, the Mean Machine bounced back from a loss against Calivil United to defeat Marong by four goals.
It was the Mean Machine's third win in four games played, while Marong moved to 1-4 from five games.
A tough clash against a rebounding Maiden Gully YCW awaits Bridgewater next week.
