The Bloods bounced back from a disappointing loss to reigning premiers Sandhurst the previous weekend, to defeat the Storm 62-47.
It was the Bloods' third win in five games this season and enough for them to move back into fourth place on the league ladder following Eaglehawk's loss to Gisborne at Canterbury Park.
Hobbs, who joined South Bendigo in 2018 after six seasons with Kangaroo Flat where she won dual-premierships in 2014 and 2016, insisted her proud milestone would not overshadow an important win for the Bloods.
"After last week, we needed to turn a few things around and the girls really responded," she said.
"They played much better and more as a team. And it was more of a four quarter effort. It was a fantastic turnaround from last week.
"We were pretty much in front the whole day.
"I will admit to a few nerves today, but it's never about me, it's about the girls and them getting wins on the board.
"It was a good day for the club with three (netball) wins, a draw and a loss on the board."

The Bloods were led by star young goal shooter Chloe Langley, who produced a dominant and accurate performance, while midcourters Emily Cossar and Danielle O'Toole were prominent throughout.
While she would have preferred to have finished much closer to Sandhurst in round five, Hobbs felt 3-2 was an accurate reflection of the Bloods' season so far and not a bad spot to be in ahead of the break.
The Bloods, who are aiming for back-to-back finals appearances in 2021 after breaking a nearly two-decade drought in 2019, will continue their season on May 29 at Golden Square.
Strathfieldfsaye slipped to 1-5 and with a bye scheduled for next round will effectively have the next two weekends off.
In other BFNL games on Saturday, Gisborne defeated Eaglehawk 55-42, while Kyneton prevailed in a thriller at home against Maryborough 44-42.
