Brimbank totally dominated the first half both territorially and in possession, but were unable to breach a resolute Bendigo defence.
In response, on the rare occasions when they entered Brimbank territory, Bendigo converted three line breaks into points.
Firstly, after 20 minutes play, flanker Wane Ratawake finished off a break to touch down between the sticks.
This was followed by tries to captain Dave McDonald and lock Tom Tereu. All three tries were converted to see Bendigo leading 21-0 at the interval.
On resumption of play, the Brimbank five-eighth immediately brushed off some feeble Bendigo defence to open his team's scoring.
However, the Brimbank revival was short lived as the Miners gained ascendancy and ran in three more tries.
Among the better players for the Miners were flanker Matt Boyle, five-eighth Fareni Moefaauo, prop Josephar Maiai and half-back Mark Gudge.
Next Saturday, the Miners are on the road to Kiwi-Hawthorn.
Scorers: Wane Ratawake 2, Tom Tereu, David McDonald, Brian Valoia, Jose Situlia tries: McDonald 4, Maciu Talemaitoga goals.
