Australian alternative would be nice
In the past seven days, my wife and I have enjoyed a tour around north/west and central Victoria. This included visiting the wonderful Mary Quant exhibition in Bendigo.
However, I wish to draw attention to the frequent pleas in rural shop windows asking people to support local businesses. We did this as far as possible.
However, we could have extended our spending more if local businesses did their part and bought 'locally' too i.e. 'Made in Australia'.
I agree it can be hard to source all items in Australia but too often no attempt is made to give an Australian alternative. Many people like ourselves are willing to pay more to get an Australian-made product.

Disgusting. Shame on those who have made the decision that our returned servicemen have to apply for permission to take part in the Anzac Day march.
These people should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves in the way they are treating these people who sacrificed their lives for our nation and security.
For what they gave they deserve better treatment than what they are getting.
Have you no conscience?

Could some one please advise the Chinese that their bullying in relation to the cancellation of Dan's Road and Belt project to Australians is not acceptable.

Just another day...
Mr Ian Cooper informs us Malcolm Turnbull has made derogatory comments about Scott Morrison.
Well, golly gosh! Who would have thunk it?
Honestly, Mr Turnbull has done nothing but put down the party he once led.
The coalition government are following the policies which saw it elected. That's pretty simple.
Of course Mr Turnbull is angry. He hates Scott Morrison and the government. With a vengeance. Malice, thy name is Malcolm.

Bat decision just so cool
I am just so excited that Mayor Jen Alden and the Bendigo City Council have agreed to protect the habitat of the flying foxes in Rosalind Park by building an atmospheric cooling system as it will relieve them and stop them from dying on hot days.
Moreover, installing an areal cabling system for the flying foxes to roost on and give them more space to roost is a great innovation. The idea certainly isn't at all "batty!"
Furthermore, I think Friends of Bats and Bushcare president Laurence Pope is to be commended on his efforts to preserve and save the bats.
They are vital and are an important part of our ecosystem!
