Sandhurst Ridge Winery winemaker and proprietor Paul Greblo said the weather conditions of the past season were favourable.
"This season was very good, it's been a really magical season due to the warm days and cool nights," he said.
"We haven't really had extreme weather really, it's just been a nice, steady, ripe season. The fruit is brilliant, beautiful colour, it's exactly what you want.
"Much better than last year, we had good winter rains and reasonable yields."
Mr Greblo said he has experienced a demand for his cellar door services from Melburnians looking for a weekend escape.
"Ever since lockdown finished, we have been inundated with people from Melbourne," he said.
"It's just so good to see and I think people are glad to get out of Melbourne after that period."

Glenwillow Wines owner and vigneron Peter Fyffe finished his harvest on Monday last week.
He said the weather played a huge part in an excellent outcome.
"I would think this year has been as good, if not the best, year that I can remember having and I have been into grape-growing for over 20 years," he said.
"It goes back to last winter when he had really great winter rains and right through the spring and summer time.
"We had mild and warm days without having hot windy days ... the weather was very kind to us this year."
Mr Fyffe noted the conditions were especially great for growing Nebbiolo grapes.
"The particular variety of Nebbiolo grapes are Italian grapes and can be difficult to grow," he said.
"Last year I didn't get much out of them at all but this year the yields have been fantastic and the size of the bunches have been enormous.
"I picked up the biggest bunch of Nebbiolo grapes that I have ever seen at just under one kilogram.
"Once in 20 years we have got some really good Nebbiolo grapes."
Winegrowers Association president and Mandurang Valley Wines winemaker Wes Vine said the excellent season had been felt across the region.
"The production has been good and the quality has been excellent," he said.
Mr Vine said the Bendigo Winemakers Festival at the weekend would be a chance to celebrate.
He said the Saturday was already sold out, while tickets were still available for the Sunday.
"This will be a great event and we hope people will be in a celebratory mood," he said.
"It's a great day, good music and good wine."
Mr Vine said people could learn more about the festival here.
