Victorian captain Peter Handscombe and South Australian skipper Travis Head pulled stumps early midway through the final day with the visitors 9-329 in their second innings - an overall lead of 297.
South Australia had started the day 5-151, but when Victoria failed to take early wickets on day four a result was unlikely.
Murphy, from Moama, had second innings figures of 0-55 off 20 overs for match figures of 1-127 off 47 overs.
The off-spinner is a chance to back-up for Victoria's one-day clash with the Redbacks on Thursday at the Junction Oval.
Bendigo Cricket Club product Seymour completed his maiden first-class match with a batting average of 60.
The left-hander's first innings score of 60 was one of the highlights of the match for the home team.
The 29-year-old has done everything possible to earn a Victorian contract next summer.
