The fair is one of the oldest in Australia, starting back in 1878 and is an annual tradition for many people in Central Victoria.
Maldon Easter Fair Committee assistant Noel Muller said the weekend-long festival was a success.
"The whole weekend has been really good and events that we have had in the town have been really good," he said.
"This weekend has just be continually busy and it's really great to see."
Mr Muller said it was positive to see people back in the town.
"Easter in Maldon is always busy and this has been really the first big chance to get out again and come together for an event," he said.
"The businesses will be really happy with this turnout and if they aren't making money then something is wrong."
The festivities began on Good Friday with a game of football and carried through to Monday with its annual parade procession.
Easter Saturday featured events such as a hole in one competition, Beehive Chimney Easter Market, scone bake competition and torchlight procession.
