An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said the man, in his 50s, was in a stable condition with facial injuries.
Emergency services received the call to Hanging Rock about 1.10pm.

The man is believed to have slipped and fell while walking.
SES was among the agencies that helped the man down the rock. Firefighters also assisted.
High-angle rescue was not required. Emergency services are understood to have walked the man down from where he was injured.
A doctor is believed to have assisted the man at the scene.
