The Greater Bendigo Coalition for Gender Equity expressed unanimous support for the March 4 Justice movement when it convened on Wednesday.
Coalition members will participate in the Bendigo rally on March 15.
"The coalition urges every person who wants to send a strong message to our federal leaders that enough is enough to join this rally and sign the March 4 Justice petition," Sue Clarke, the coalition's chair, said.
The Bendigo rally is scheduled from noon - 1pm at the Rosalind Park Piazza.
Organisers say participants will not be marching, despite the event's name.
"This ensures everyone can participate," a post in the rally's Facebook page said.
"There will be a small number of seats for those with limited mobility and we encourage people to bring their own if required."
Participants are asked to check in at one of the entry points and use the hand sanitiser provided.
"The rally will be divided into sections to ensure we meet COVID safe requirements and limit groups to 100 people," the post said.
Participants will be issued with a colour and a number at the check-in point, and are asked to remain in the zone they are allocated.
"Bring your face mask and wear it if you can't social distance," the post said.
Attendees are also encouraged to bring water.
The rally will be live streamed, for those unable to attend in person.
Attendees have been encouraged to wear black.
"If you are unwell or have been told to isolate, please stay home and watch our live stream," the event's organisers said.
Support workers from the Centre for Non Violence, Centre Against Sexual Assault Central Victoria, Annie North and Women's Health Loddon Mallee will be available on the day.
"The event is a safe and inclusive space for women, non-binary, LGBTQIA, CALD, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, Refugee, culturally and linguistically diverse women to come together and share our rage," the rally's organisers said.
"Male allies are welcome to join and show support for change."
In the words of the rally's organisers, "March 4 Justice is a nationwide Australian women's movement, demanding justice and action against gendered violence and sexual assault, and urging widespread change in workplaces and in our political and criminal justice systems.
"The movement is apolitical, inclusive and respectful and focuses on survivors and those who support them."
The national movement calls for a full police investigation of rape, sexual assault and misconduct allegations concerning politicians and staff.
It calls on the High Court to commission an independent and wide-reaching review of gendered violence in Australia's parliaments, including federal parliament.
It also calls for the establishment of a federal Independent Commission Against Corruption, and for national strategies for "deep cultural change" to promote equality, respect, fairness, integrity and a level playing field for all in workplaces and in the political and criminal justice systems.
The Loddon Consortium for Gender Equality and Violence Prevention - the organiser of the Bendigo March 4 Justice - has joined in the national movement's calls.
Several of the consortium's members are also part of the Greater Bendigo Coalition for Gender Equity.
They include Annie North, the Centre for Non-Violence, the Centre Against Sexual Assault Central Victoria, and Women's Health Loddon Mallee.
Some of Bendigo's biggest employers are among the coalition's members, as well as sporting, faith and service groups.
