The Bendigo Chinese Association will be serving up noodles for pick up from the museum for three hours on Friday.
Meanwhile, a sold-out screening of Kung Fu Panda is scheduled for the Dai Gum San precinct.
Noodle dishes and steamed dim sim will be sold at the museum from 5pm - 8pm on Friday.
Service will be takeaway only, with proceeds from the sales going to the Bendigo Chinese Association.
The noodle night is intended to be a one-off event, at this stage.
Vegetarian options would be available, Bendigo Chinese Association vice-president Wei Tong said.
Preparations were underway in the Golden Dragon Museum kitchen on Thursday.
Golden Dragon Museum chief executive Hugo Leschen said drinks and ice creams would be available from the museum's reception.
The museum itself would not be open during the event.
The outdoor film screening is part of the Bendigo Summer in the Parks program.
Mr Leschen said the idea for the noodle night stemmed from the film screening and a desire to make the event even better.
He said the noodle night would be open to all and encouraged people to pop by to start off their weekend.
It comes after a challenging 12 months of fundraising and activities for the Bendigo Chinese Association.
Lunar New Year and Easter were among the events affected by COVID-19 restrictions.
"This is a great opportunity to work together and support each other," Mr Leschen said.
"I'd encourage everyone to come down early and buy up big."
Mr Tong thanked the Bendigo Asian Grocery, on McCrae Street, for supporting the event.
