A NEW program is helping Bendigo girls explore opportunities in the male-dominated industries of engineering and manufacturing.
Students from Bendigo high schools are participating in the Bendigo Tech School's Girls in STEAM Electric Car Project.
The girls have been tasked with creating an electric car, which will then be available to hire as a community enterprise.
The first phase of the program was a day-long tour of the Safescape and Thales sites in Bendigo on Tuesday.
